“If I purchase a TV, and also purchase the 5 year Geek Squad protection plan, does this allow me to bring my TV back after 4 years to replace it with a newer model and simply pay the difference in price? Or is this a different warranty?”

This plan only allows you to replace the TV in the event something happens to your tv. You will be able to upgrade and pay the difference if something happens to your tv.My sharp 58in went out and I used the replacement plan to upgrade to a 60 in lg 4k in which I paid the difference in price. Great peace of mind.
