If you have use an antenna, Dish Network, DirecTV or other traditional means of receiving TV then yes, you will need a coax or HDMI cable. If you have "cut the cord" and gone to HULU, Sling, YouTube TV, etc, you'll need your WiFi password. Additionally, Smart TVs like this give you a lot of cool extras when you hook them to your WiFi regardless of your TV service.
