SiriusXM is rather difficult ti gift to somebody because they want a credit card and email to set up/activate the account. If you buy $150 worth of gift SXM gift cards that should be enough to get what they refer to as the ultimate package (all channels). If the equipment he has receives any free service the paid subscription will begin at the conclusion. Straight forward to this point... It is renewall on the paid anniversary date where things can get really expensive because they auto renew.. Usually at rates 2 to 3 times higher... They will generally negotiate a lower rate if called before the actual anniversary date and even if not they will begrudgingly reduce the renewal rate or even refund if that is desired...
