Works as a regular 1st gen switch pro controller, so my guess is that yes. Switch 2 has support for gen 1 controllers

Yes, but it will require you to plug the controller into a Windows PC and download the 8bitdo Software in order to update the Firmware of the controller to be compatible with the Switch 2. It is not compatible with the Switch 2 out of the box.
