QuestionDoes the backlit keyboard stay on or does it have a programmed time period after which it goes out. I'm returning an HP laptop as the backlit keypad goes out after 15 seconds if you don't touch the keys. Very annoying.

- Answer The keyboard backlight goes out after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity. This is by design to save on battery power, when using battery. Unfortunately there isn't a way to force the keyboard light to stay on, even while not in use.

- Answer Yes, this has a 512GB SSD and an HDMI port, and the memory is upgradeable to 16GB using one memory slot. The GPU is onboard: UHD Graphics 620.
