• Mainly plastic like most with aluminum cover, solid the frame won't twist I've already used it in all positions it's built well.

• The LCD cover, top cover is metal. Some type of alloy. Same with the Palmrest/KC cover. The bottom cover seems to have a soft silky coating, similar to Dell. My guess it that the bottom cover is plastic.

• Plastic for the most part, the hinges are probably metal for strength.
