• Yes it has a back lit keyboard. You press the function button next to the space bar and press the space bar together for it to come on!

• Yes. Some have complained however that if you are using backlit and turn off, when you go to turn back on it does not remember it was in the backlit mode. This is no issue for me. Just Function key and then F10 and good to go.

• no and it is small for my hands. For home use I have a track ball mouse and a back llit keyboard full size hooked up to a multi USB port. I unplug only the brick and the one usb and go. This is designed to travel.
