Yes, you can put 8.1 on it...and to answer one person's question, a user might want 8.1 installed versus 10 if using software not yet compatible with Windows 10 (yes, it is a problem for some software, not everything is compatible)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had nothing but a fantastic experience with windows 10 so far after the service pack. Definitely much faster than 8. Do a fresh install when you receive the laptop with the latest service pack, and it should be smooth sailing from there

The only issue has been a alert that indicates display driver Windows 8 stopped responding but has recovered and I have no doubt there will be an update to correct this occasional error.
