• Yes this is a GOOD laptop for writing. The keys are higher quality than other laptops in my opinion.

• Gar, This one is decent for writing but I always prefer a Lenovo for their keyboard design and feel. This one will definitely work well for emails and casual writing but term papers and longer typing tasks not so much.
