BUT - it is larger/heavier than most chromebooks (16" screen is nice) - so go into a store and look at the size before committing. Also take a look at the Acer Spin 714 - they are similar pricing (it goes on sale at $499 frequently) - it's an smaller size for carrying to/from school NOTE: This won't run Windows/PC-based games or console games. Only web-based games.

You won't be able to install software or games that require it to be run from .exe files. If they are available as an app from Google Play Store or Chrome Web Store, it should work fine.
