If the software apps you use are available as an app from Google Play, it should work fine. Might want to check with your school to verify if a Chromebook would be suited for your school needs.

Please try again later.Yes, in my opinion, this laptop would be great for heavy school work in general, unless a class requires specific software that has to run locally on a different operating system or more powerful machine. These days, most work can be done with web applications like Google Workspace (docs, spreadsheets, slide decks, etc.). This laptop works very well for that purpose, due to its better memory and video specs compared with other similarly priced chromebooks.
