QuestionI find the display on this to have a different color temperature than that of other displays I use (phone, work computer). I've read this laptop features some sort of blue light protection feature. Can this be disabled? I don't like it.

QuestionI have a Acer Chromebook Spin 713 that I purchased 11/2020. The screen is black & wont turn on due to dead video card. Can I still use the SSD Hard Drive w/in the 713 via cable connection to a new Acer Spin 714 & use the Spin 713 like ext hard drive?

- Answer No, you don't need it installed. You use the OWA version of the Windows Office. You can download the free google equivalents, which work exactly the same, for me some of the Google apps are better and you can export to the MS formats.

- Answer You may want to do a bit of goo-diligence on the Acer manufacturing side, then you can estimate about when BestBuy and others will actually have units to sell.

- Answer You can't install it, but you can use the web version. Also, Google's office programs (Docs, Sheets, Slides) work just as good or better.

- Answer answering my own question... There are only 5 models of Dell printers compatible. 3000cn 3010cn 3100cn M5200 S2500 No others will work. So basically I bought a $729 laptop that can't even print with MOST brands of printers.

- Answer The 2022 version does come with a stylus docked in the bottom right corner. The Chromebook also keeps it charged up and ready while docked.

- Answer Yes the SSD can be upgraded I replaced the stock 256gb SSD with a 1TB WD SN850X. It was a simple process once I figured it out. I replaced the stock SSD with the new SSD. Next I plugged the Chromebook in and powered it on in RECOVERY MODE by pressing ESCAPE, REFRESH, and the POWER ON switch. It immediately went into recovery mode and gave steps to re-install Chrome OS. I used a USB flash with the Chrome Recovery Utility loaded on it, plugged it in, and Chrome OS was put on the new SSD. Easy process once you know how to do it. Not sure if it matters, both both NVMe. M.2 SSD were Western Digital. The new SSD is generation 4 so twice as fast since it is a generation 4 SSD slot on the chromebook.
