• VGA is for video only, not audio. Many sound systems that use HDMI for input also have an output to pass through video. If yours doesn't, there are HDMI "splitters" available.

• Sadly Vga doesn't carry audio, some hdmi to vga converters might have audio out option. It would be better to build your sound system around what back ports your computer has.
