“When it's plugged in & turned off, there's a blue light on the back that blinks on and off. I can hear the sound it makes every time it turns on and it drives me crazy in a quiet room. Is there any way to turn off/stop the blinking without unplugging it?”

Just push the blue button on the back until it turns off, thats why it blinks because your monitor is not turn off, you have to press that button until the blue light stops
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The blinking indicates the monitor is in sleep mode and cannot be disabled. If the light is bothersome, some customers have been known to put a small piece of dark tape over the light, which works well.
