I had the same problem. here are the steps I followed to make it work as mentioned in instructions that came along with monitor. 1) shutdown both laptop and monitor 2) disconnect HDMI cable from both monitor and laptop 3) removed power cable connection to monitor 4) connected HDMI cable between monitor and lapop 5) connected power cable 6) turned on monitor 7) turned on laptop

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would first check your HDMI connections if you're using those. They are notorious for coming loose. Secondly check the power cord and if you're using a surge protector be sure it's turned on. I have a cat and he loves to rearrange my electronics.
