“When there is no video source, say the computer is turned off, what does it do? Does it go into standby mode or show one of those none stop messages about "no video source detected"?”

Mine will go to sleep basically when there is no video source. The blue power light turns to orange and screen is off. Hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When there is no signal, it does display a "no signal" or source message. I can't say that it stays there or not because I usually shut it off when not in use. It may go into standby mode.I've never left it on that long to say whether it does or not.
