• This monitor ships with a VGA cable but you can connect the monitor to a computer that has one of these connections: HDMI, DVI or VGA. You will need to purchase an HDMI or DVI cable if you want to connect to those ports.

• depends on if you use it as a monitor for survelliance because most systems (security) used HDMI and if the Monitor does not have but DVI then you can get a DVI to HMDI cable right here at best buy for less then 20 dollars

• It comes with a VGA cable. You will need to provide the HDMI cable if you want to connect it that way.

• VGA cable will work fine but you will not get the most out of the monitor with that kind of connect.
