A:AnswerYou can use an external monitor to run as high of a refresh rate as you like. The issue is getting there. You will not be playing cyberpunk or other AAA titles on any laptop at 300 fps on any kind of high, ultra or max settings. To hit higher FPS you will likely have to reduce graphical settings significantly. Some will not find value in that trade off. I find running many games at max around 120-144hz is plenty because the graphics are still up high.
