A:AnswerI chose the Nitro 5 with the i5 because I'm a DJ and AMD processors aren't compatible with the DJ software I use. It's the best laptop I've ever had, and that includes MacBook Pro. I do a lot of video mixing and the Nitro 5 can handle everything I throw at it. Plus, I'm an Intel guy.
A:AnswerIt depends, first what is better priced? I faced times when the i5-7300 HQ was "maxed" while playing stuff like Battlefield 1, while the newer i5-8xxx did handle it better. However the non-ti graphics can also be an issue. Bottom line is, if the game you are using is GPU heavy, go with teh 1050 ti, CPU heavy, the newer version. Word of advice, the newer one runs hot, the CPU regularly hits 90C-94C, undervolting slightly helped.
A:AnswerThe GTX1050i is a better graphics card than the 1050 but the i58300h processor will turbo to a faster clock speed than the i7 will. So it's kinda a crap shoot on which one will suit you better! I have the i5 with the 1050 and love it!
