A:AnswerNo. You can use the AC adapter all you want, but for the best battery life it is best to allow the battery to drain then charge a few times, if you find the battery life decreasing.
A:AnswerMine has not run hot. But note: I always use a cooling/fan pad with a laptop to have it run cooler and extend the laptop's lifespan. The cooling system in the laptop is excellent.
