Does it need a desk drive also null

No, I just simply plugged it into my laptop and it worked fine. I am now using it with my desktop and it was simply plug it in to the computer. Of course, you have to plug in the power as well. ;).

I'm guessing you mean "disk" drive instead of "desk" drive. If so, no disk drive required, Win10 finds all the drivers, it was just plug and play.

Not sure I understand the question, but I did not need to install any drivers on my PC to use the monitor. I use Windows 10 and the monitor worked for me upon plugging it into my laptop. Hope that helps!
