“can i replace this stand with a different one? this one is so big it takes up half my desk so i wanted to see if i could replace with a smaller one”

You might be able to change it but you may run into a problem where the monitor is too heavy for the stand/base. So I’m not really sure. If you can, try one of the VESA mounts that attaches to your desk. Those worked best for my desk and my sons desk.
