Hi, Nancy When you purchase this card, you need an active student email address to register it with, otherwise it won't work. But, to answer your question, the $239 is the subscription fee. After you buy it, you have the creative suite for one year. After the year is over, you need to renew it (pay another $239) or your creative suite will expire.
