A:Answer Vacation Mode is available on many AeroGarden models, including the Harvest Elite and Bounty family Gardens. Once you turn on vacation mode, it will stay on until you turn it off.
Vacation Mode slows the rate of photosynthesis for your plants. By reducing the hours of light per day to 8 hours per day, it slows the rate of nutrient and water consumption for your plants.
Liquid Plant Food every 14 days is still necessary to keep your plants happy and healthy. Water is also necessary as needed. We do recommend keeping the water filled to the Fill to Here line whenever possible. If you need to leave the garden for a few days, make sure it does not run dry as that has the potential to harm your plants and put them in shock. Vacation Mode will help to reduce the rate at which your plants absorb water so you can go a little longer without needing to add water to the reservoir.
You could have your garden on Vacation Mode, potentially, for its entire life cycle. As long as you know that it will grow slower, and if it is a veggie, it will not produce as much fruit.
