• Yes, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Zoom Lens (Model: 2211) is compatible with the D3100. This lens has a retractable barrel and will display “Lens Not Attached” when initially mounted to the D3100. After mounting the lens to the camera simply extend it from the retracted position to clear the message and use the lens.
