I try to remember to use it once a month, or maybe after 15-20 loads of laundry. I also use it whenever I notice an odor coming from the washing machine, & then I use it twice, back to back (still one in each cycle).

Once per 3 months seems appropriate. Depends on the amount of gunk. I rarely use it to get lime and lint built up out.

On the 1st and the 15th of each month. I also leave the lid of the machine open (top loader) and have a small fan on top of the dryer next to the washer. I turn on the fan to low after I'm done doing laundry and let air blow into the washer for about 24 hours.

My wife uses every 8 to 10 times.

As soon as you start to smell your clothes getting musty. And you can repeat it up to 3 times, if necessary, but I only had to do it once. It is important to remember to leave the washer door open to air out and let the unit dry in between loads, so as not to trap moisture in causing mildew.

Every 30 washes! My washer has a "needs cleaner" light indicator to remind me!
