“How can you get the sides to unlock. My doors won't open so that I could clean the filter. I been using this all summer and today it won't release”

There are two tabs, one in front and rear. Release those tabs then grab both sides tabs pulling out slightly while lifting the lid. The tabs are easily recognized by their color, they are black/grey while the rest of the pool cleaner is blue and white.
