• Yes, this laptop can be upgraded additional/larger SSD. My Alienware 17R has 3 slots for M.2 form factor SSDs. I replaced the 128GB drive that came with the laptop with a 500GB Samsung 960 EVO and added a second 500GB 960 EVO in the second slot. The third slot will only accommodate a half size M.2.
