1.8700 is the CPU model for SKU:6155309 2. The best way to describe optane's performance in a real world senario is by listing 2nd round boot times on GTA 5. HDD (mechanical hard drive) : 48sec OPTANE + HDD: 32sec SATA 6GB SSD: 30sec OPTANE + SATA 6Gbs SSD: 29sec the first round that you open an application with an optane stick installed, it will perform the same as an HDD. it takes 2 to 3 times for the app to get cached in the optane memory.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is the Intel I7 8700 CPU. The second part of the question is hard to answer... I am sure it may match performance of some lower end SSDs but it does offer a performance boost over a spinning HDD without Optane. With that said I took out the Optane module (it occupies the M.2 slot) and replaced it with a Samsung 970 M.2 SSD. Optane doesn't come close to matching the performance of that or any good SATA SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The optane does seem to speed things up and the system is FAST Mies has the I8 7700 The 7700K is overclockable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In some cases yes the Optane is faster on frequently used items. I saw a review on Linus Tech talks
