“I will be running my gaming laptop on this until I get a better desktop. Do I have to buy external speakers or will my laptop be enough? Laptop will be closed while playing games, so not really sure if I will get sound out of it.”

Would grab some good headphones or external speakers to be safe

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should be able to get enough sound out of your laptop. You just need to go into your sound settings to make sure because it will default to the monitor once its connected... even though the monitor has no speakers.
