There is no specific brand or model. I installed Corsair's 32GB DDR5-5600 kit and am very happy with it. The thing is, due to CPU/Chipset limitations, memory will only run at DDR5-4800 speeds. This is not changeable in the BIOS or through any other means on this m16 model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For this model it can vary on the memory speed and I would recommend checking in the BIOS for your specific memory speed. The details from Dell and the acceptable RAM can vary depending on your specific system. However, each m16 R1 can have any of the below: Memory slots Two-SODIMM slots Memory type DDR5 Memory speed 4800 MT/s, 5200 MT/s, 5600 MT/s, 5800 MT/s NOTE: The memory configuration varies depending on the country or region the computer is purchased in. Maximum memory configuration 64 GB Minimum memory configuration 16 GB Memory size per slot 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB Crucial also offers a method of looking up RAM that is compatible with your specific laptop. https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/alienware/alienware-m16-(intel)#memory
