This machine was built to push data at extremely high rates. It will most definitely be able to process EDM. I bought this primarily for video editing. Honestly, however, its not practical in the sense of portability. This thing weighs a ton. Certainly meant for semi-permanent setups, not meant to be moved much. The battery-life is also as expected with the power it needs for processing. Not meant for "battery powered" computing. Its only good for staying "On" with the lid closed while transporting.
