In the documentation/product manuals included with the laptop, Dell officially recommends a max of 32GB (2x16GB) of ram. However, they also state that it can support 64GB and there are plenty of folks sharing online how they are extremely happy with their decision to upgrade to 64GB of ram. I have not heard of anyone having any problems running operating this laptop with 64GB of ram. That said, I only upgraded to 32GB and I'll be staying with that for now. I usually only see the ram usage go up to somewhere between 50% and 70% and that higher end isn't very frequent. I'm most often hanging out around the 40% to 60% range with my typical usage.
