• Unfortunately even though I haven't opened the case, other users have stated you cannot change out the ram. That it is permanently soldered to the board. Secondly in the parts manual on how to add or remove components there is no listed section for memory which leads me to believe that my opening statement is correct.

• No the RAM is one of the things that can’t be changed after purchasing this system. If you want more RAM, the laptop has to be customized on the Dell website. You can add more storage and such

• No. 8 gigs are can not be removed but the other 8 could. With this said, only 8 could be replaced with a 32 bringing it to 40 but only the first 16 will work at dual channel speed.
