• The dell guy answering these questions doesnt know what hes talking about at all. I just got this laptop and its color by key and or zone based if you want

• This particular BestBuy variant actually does come with the per key lighting upgrade. The R3 sold by BestBuy currently also has the per key upgrade equipped out of the box. Sometimes the more obscure specs on these gaming laptops fall through the cracks on BestBuy website. But both the R3 and the R4 currently sold DO come with PER-KEY lighting.
