• SIGNIFICANTLY SO, or at least it could be depending on the exact build of the area 51 r2, which describes more a class of machines and not specifics. This has an m.2 ssd drive which is nearly instant loading, not a 7200rpm physical hdd. The Nvidia 3070 is 177% faster than the gtx 980 benchmarked, not to mention dx12 capable. But if the area 51 came with a 2070 instead that changes things.
