“Can I hook up a 4k display to the laptop and get 4K? I have an older Alienware that I can but that not sure about this one as no one has mentioned anything about it being able to.”

Yes, this laptop will support 4K resolution through the HDMI port and USB 4.0 Type-C port, you can connect compatible 4K displays through compatible cables to these ports of the laptop to get 4K output.
