Yes. The internet is like the road that you drive on and the laptop is like the car that drives on the road. You need to get internet from an internet service provider, usually via cable companies or phone companies. Then you connect your laptop to your internet connection and you're ready to go.

Depending your area Verizon or Att&t or Google may provide hardwired fiber internet. Verizon and At&t may provide LTE or 5G internet through their Cell tower infrastructure. Internet would be probably better with the new features from the advertised Win11 if Bestbuy were to include it but depends if its a blue moon or not.
