“I keep turning the brightness level on the clock down to the dimmest setting, but later in the day the clock will automatically change to the brightest setting. Is there any way to stop this from happening?”

Mystery solved. First make sure am/pm setting is correct (if not on military time). If the time is set correctly this is what to expect. At any time the brightness level of the time display can be adjusted with the +/- buttons on right side of the clock. You can toggle from high, medium, low, and off. Note; Just the display is off. It will keep charging your device and keep time. But no matter what level of brightness you choose, this clock will AUTOMATICALLY make these three changes. 1) At 7am/0700 the display goes to full brightness. 2) At 6pm/1800 the display will dim to medium. 3) At midnight/000 the display will dim to low. At 7am it will repeat the cycle back to full brightness. If the light is too bright; dim it. If it’s too dim; brighten it. Just keep in mind the clock will make those changes no matter what brightness level you have chosen. I think it’s perfect in that regard. But this clock has other quirks and anomalies that make it a questionable purchase.

We purchased clock dimming sheets from Amazon called “Dim It”, which attach easily by static (no need to worry about getting bubbles out). It’s a great clock, but it’s disappointing that the dimmer doesn’t stay at the setting you select.

The overall features and price made it worthwhile. Big numbers, wifi and a nightlight so not to bother with it. what we may try is putting a cover of sorts over it neatly to reflect the light as the lightest setting is bit bright at times too. Hope this helps. Again Id put a nice extra cover or sticker paper over the lighted part, thus light still shines but wont be bright no matter what setting plus it adds a bit of color to the clock itself!!! pity clock didnt come in other colors.
