• It should work with any type of music input. Your device doesn't need Bluetooth. This device provides Bluetooth to devices that don't have Bluetooth.

• My old ipod does not have bluetooth. Yours might so there's a chance it will work. But I bought the device to hookup wireless headphones to tv. I can't see what you would want to communicate with your ipod - perhaps an iphone?
