Bose attempts to pull between 5 to 7 channels of audio through Bluetooth. The 3.5mm audio jack or the stereo RCA jacks on all TVs only have 2 channels. This Bluetooth device was not designed primarily for multi-channel audio, but supports it. It is mainly designed for stereo 2 channel. The lag is because your Bose headphones are trying to pull 5 or 7 audio channels from this device which requires a minimum of 3Mbps transfer rates which this Bluetooth device is not rated for. See if there is a function on the headphones for stereo 2 channel only. If not, consider stereo Bluetooth headphones or earbuds, or a Dolby 7.1 rated Bluetooth transmitter.
