• Yes there's a switch on the side for receiving and sending for receiving it's meant for cell phone sending signal to the device for example if you're playing Pandora. Sending is meant for speakers if you're trying to send the sound to a speaker you would want it for that. So yes is your answer

• Whether it’s headphones or speakers, they will pair together. Make sure this device is set to transmit (Tx). Put both devices in pairing mode and wait up to 60 seconds for pairing to complete.
