“I bought this to use with my tv (via the RCA red & white cable) and my Apple Airpods Pro. They paired up fine. But there seems to be no way to control the volume. I've tried via tv buttons, tv remotes, cable tv remote. Is there a way for this to work?”

Unfortunate, the device cannot control volume. The volume is controlled via the headset...however, the iPods do not have built in volume control.
