• I had the same problem with our Samsung TV. I have just a little experience with electronics and added my own 1/8 inch stereo jack. I used capacitors to couple the jack to the speaker wires. I also added a resistor to drop the volume. It works, but I do get a whooshing noise in the headphones. That is a common problem with audio coupling. I tried a ground loop isolator, but it did not eliminate the problem. My solution is not for everyone.
