The dvr has no built in memory. You can use a thumb drive or an external hard drive for storage. I used a 128GB thumb drive and it worked just fine.

No internal storage. It requires a usb flash drive or a usb hard drive. Of course, memory size it set by the external system chosen. We use a hard drive and it works very well. No buffering.

This model does not come with a hard drive. You must purchase one separately for DVR recording.

As stated by several others you need and extrnal USB drive, However, the manual states it only supports UP 64GB.
