I think you can't use 2 hard drives but you can use a hard drive up to 2 TB. I recommend only use 1 TB for better performance.

It has a USB connection and you could use a separator to connect two hard drives.

There is only 1 USB port so I will say no. I quess you can use more than 1 external hard drive but you can't use them at the same time. Just get one with a lot of memory. You can only record 1 show at a time. I hope this helps.
