• Mine died after 6 weeks so I'd consider other brands. Their customer service people were incredibly rude and I had to ship it back to Aluratek at my expense.

• Most likely no. The TV Converter Box is strictly for over the air channels. You connect an indoor antenna to the RF-in on the back of the box, you then use the HDMI or the red, white, and yellow RCA style connectors to connect to the TV. You then set your TV to the correct INPUT, turn the box on and run a channel search.
