“HELP!! I can't record one show and play another. Book says "ON/OFF the loop through" in "the Setup Menu," but THERE IS NO SETUP MENU, nor nothing of the sort in the (only) "menu." Apparently it hasn't scanned the 2nd tuner, but HOW TO GET IT TO DO SO?”

I just set the timer and go back to my tv tuner and let the timer come on and watch it later
