No. This box is simply an Over the Air TV box where you connect your indoor antenna to the RF-in on the back of the Aluratek, and then connect the Aluratek box to the TV via HDMI. Set the TV to the HDMI input and then run a scan for your OTA channels. You can only record the OTA channels. Cable boxes are usually filtered with copyright protection and use Proprietary connection protocols.
