Yeah it converts but does your VCR's tuner? Probably not. Either way, you're defeating the purpose of the built in PVR on this Aluratek. Use it instead, that's why it's there. NO TAPE!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will convert the signal coming form the antenna into the TV and allow over the air TV only. You can record on the TV Converter box using a 32GB or smaller USB thumb drive but I am not sure you can connect your VCR to the box. You may be able to record with your VCR connected to the TV (which is getting the signal from the box / antenna).
